What we're about
Roots Studio is a risograph printing business and, creative hub based in the sunny terrain of Stockport, Uk. Founded by Heather Chambers, our studio has been created on foundations of growing up very working class in this town.
Roots Studio first started as an experimental zine and printing community arts project for deprived towns, and we now have our own studio space, and print press in Stockport.
Our aim here at Roots Studio is to create an accessible and friendly environment for anyone to come and create in! Our risograph printing services are kept low cost for this reason. We also understand that every individual has their own budget, and not everyone can afford the same prices. If you are interested in making something with us, and you are on a budget, you can fill out one of our 'printing on a budget' forms.
You may apply for 'printing on a budget' scheme if you are any or multiple of the following; low income, members of the Black community, POC, females, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals with disabilities.
What we do
The studio serves multiple purposes, from printing services to hosting community - focused workshops. We have a great passion for working with the locals, and especially underprivileged individuals, as well as artists and independent businesses.
